Sharp Lends a Hand wants to provide the people-power for your volunteer project in 2013.
What's Your Passion?
Last year, the people of Sharp HealthCare volunteered at ten community projects throughout San Diego. You demonstrated your passion for helping others by giving nearly 5,500 hours of your personal time.
You volunteered at the San Diego Food Bank, cleaned up litter and debris at our local beaches and the San Diego River, supported our homeless veterans at Operation Stand Down, assisted Sports for Exceptional Athletes at their basketball and hockey tournaments, did landscaping for Home of Guiding Hands, and presented many, many more personal expressions of kindness to our community.
And now, as this year’s Community Pillar goal, you have the chance to make a big difference in San Diego through Sharp Lends a Hand. By harnessing the energy and enthusiasm of 15,000 employees, we will provide the people power – the volunteer labor – for projects that ignite your passion for improving the health of San Diego.
So how does this work?
Tell us about projects you care about, something that promises real change. If some extra elbow grease will elevate it from mild achievement to wild success, let us know.
Sharp’s 15,000 team members will vote for the community service project, or projects, this year. Then, we will mobilize to make a difference.
