Multicultural Services

Sharp HealthCare’s Multicultural Services Department is dedicated to increasing the awareness of Sharp and its programs, medical services and affiliated physicians within San Diego’s diverse community.

Multicultural Services Department initiatives include:

  • Community Outreach — Participating in numerous community events throughout San Diego County and providing important health information and free health screenings. To learn about our upcoming events, visit our community calendar.  

  • Conviva y Aprenda Seminars — Providing bimonthly seminars for community health workers, or promotores, on various health topics. These sessions are held in Spanish by health experts. To find an upcoming Conviva y Aprenda seminar or similar event near you, visit our Spanish community calendar.

  • Health Tip Postcards — Mailing monthly bilingual (English and Spanish) health tips to interested community members. Take charge of your health and contact us to have important health information mailed to your home. 

  • International Patient Services — Sharp’s International Patient Services Program facilitates health care services for eligible international patients. This program also coordinates emergency medical evacuations to a Sharp hospital for those who become ill or injured while traveling in Mexico. Bilingual Staff
All Multicultural Services team members are bilingual in English and Spanish and are available to answer any questions you may have about Sharp’s programs and services.
