Jim Nuckols is the senior vice president of marketing and communications for Sharp HealthCare, San Diego's leading integrated health care delivery system and a 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, the nation's highest presidential honor for quality and organizational performance excellence.
Nuckols has 30 years of marketing experience in health care and consumer markets. He recently joined the Sharp team in January 2012. His prior health care experience includes chief marketing officer of TherapeuticsMD and vice president or general manager positions at three of the top health care service and technology companies in the country — Carefusion, Cardinal Health and Hill-Rom.
In the consumer realm, Nuckols served as president of The Sporting News and began his career at General Mills where he managed several major brands including Wheaties and Nature Valley Granola. He received his bachelor's in chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, and an MBA in marketing from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University.
