Kathi Lencioni, BS, MPH, is the senior vice president and chief executive officer of Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital and The McDonald Center at Sharp HealthCare, which includes chemical dependency programs at Sharp Mesa Vista and Sharp McDonald Center (formerly Sharp Vista Pacifica) — the largest and oldest providers of behavioral health services in San Diego County. Lencioni joined Sharp HealthCare in 2002 as vice president of clinical operations at Sharp Grossmont Hospital and was appointed to her current position in September 2006.

While at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, she worked on the passage of Proposition G, the tax measure that will help complete the master site plan for Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Sharp Grossmont Hospital also received MAGNET® status and is The Joint Commission-designated stroke center of excellence. Both designations occurred during Lencioni’s tenure at Sharp Grossmont Hospital.

Lencioni brings more than a decade and a half of administrative experience and expertise. Prior to moving to San Diego, Lencioni served as the vice president of ambulatory and clinical services at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, an 845-bed regional medical center and the second-largest public hospital in Florida. 

Lencioni received her master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Illinois State University. Lencioni is on the board of directors of Mountain Health Care Service of rural East County in San Diego. She is also a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE).
