What is CarePages?
CarePages is a free, online service, which allows patients or a loved one to create a customized, personal website to provide communication between family and friends while a patient is receiving care as an inpatient or outpatient. Each CarePages website is created and updated by a patient or loved one, and can be used to offer support, share photos, provide updates to loved ones and receive messages.

How long can I use my CarePages website?
Your CarePages website is available for as long as you’d like — before, during and after your hospitalization or treatment. You make the decision when to activate and when to remove your CarePages website. Some patients have used their CarePages websites for years.

Will my CarePages website be private?
Each CarePages account owner creates a unique name for the site. As the owner of a CarePages account, you select the privacy level. You can choose from open (available to anyone), private (available only to those people who know your website name) or heavily restricted (available only to those people you invite and who have a login). The choice is up to you.

Why should I create a CarePages website if I can just post on Facebook?
CarePages differs from Facebook in a few ways. First, CarePages enables you to post longer blog-style entries whereas Facebook status updates are limited in length. Facebook posts can also easily get lost in the feed instead of showing similar content in one place. Lastly, CarePages allows you to set your privacy so you control who views your site — information you may not want to share that with each and every Facebook friend. But that certainly doesn't mean you can't use both together — consider sharing the link to your CarePages website on your Facebook profile so all your friends and loved ones can easily find it and interact with you.

Do I need a computer to use CarePages?
CarePages is available to each and every patient. A computer with Internet access will be necessary to create the individual CarePages website, but family members and loved ones can help to create these when necessary. Most Sharp hospitals have wireless Internet access available, and patients and loved ones can bring in personal laptops to access CarePages. Please visit Free Wireless Internet Access at Sharp to find more information about access at individual hospitals. Please be advised that CarePages may not sync properly with Internet Explorerer 6. It's best to use a later version or a different browser (such as Internet Explorerer 8, Firefox, Chrome, etc.).

What is a CareCompliment?
CareCompliments are a way for patients to send a compliment to hospital or health care staff through individual CarePages websites. You can access the CareCompliments from any page of a CarePages website; the message is sent to the hospital and hospital staff distributes it to the appropriate caregiver.

What if I need help setting up my CarePages website? Who can I contact?
