San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) recognized Sharp HealthCare for outstanding results in energy efficiency and conservation. Sharp was named San Diego's "Healthcare 2014 Energy Champion" for its successes in energy conservation.
 
Barnhart Cancer Center Designated Center of Excellence
The Doulas & Nancy Barnhart Cancer Center at Sharp Chula Vista has been designated as a Lung Cancer Alliance Screening Center of Excellence. The Barnhart Cancer Center offers current and former smokers meeting certain criteria annual CT scans, which have been determined to be an effective tool in discovering cancer at an earlier stage.
