My name is Penny Rothschild, chemical dependency counselor.

It is an honor to work in a helping field. I love my job. I honestly can say I love every aspect of it. It’s challenging. It’s rewarding. At the end of the day you leave and you go, "I got to be a part of somebody’s life that I may have never ever crossed paths with." We offer hope.

We offer empowerment in how a person can get back into the community. We teach them how to cope with life stresses, with changes, with crises without having to depend or be tied to a substance.

We see families heal. We see families come together. We see the broken man begin to stand. We see the weak begin to walk and we see lives reunite once again within their communities, their careers, their families, themselves. They’ve found their home. They’ve found their people. They’ve found a healing. They’ve found a group of people that understand and love them.

I walk away knowing what an honor it was to serve another human being and make a difference in their life.
