The Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Auxiliary for Volunteers

Operating the Gift Shop and Backdoor Bargains Thrift Shop

The Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Auxiliary was founded in 1966 and includes more than 300 men, women and students who work throughout the hospital, and on projects for the benefit of those it serves. Over the years, volunteers have raised nearly $3 million, and annually contribute 50,000 hours of service to the hospital.

The Auxiliary's purpose is to provide service to the hospital, assist in supporting the health and welfare of the community and to conduct a fundraising program in harmony with the hospital. The major fundraising projects that support the hospital include the gift shop and Backdoor Bargains Thrift Shop.

About the Gift Shop
Located in the main lobby of the hospital, the gift shop offers flowers, greeting cards, candy, gifts, games, patient and guest necessities and more. New and unique merchandise is always on display. Complimentary gift wrapping and delivery to patient rooms is available. Gift shop proceeds benefit the Auxiliary. For more information, call 619-502-5909 or 5909 when dialing within the campus. The gift shop is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and weekend hours vary.
