Medicare Awards Five-Star Rating to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center

Chula Vista, Calif. — The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Nursing Home Compare has awarded Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center's Birch Patrick Convalescent Center a five-star overall rating. With this exceptional rating, the highest possible, Birch Patrick joins an elite group from across the country dedicated to providing outstanding nursing home care.

Nursing Home Compare allows consumers to compare information about nursing homes and contains quality of care information on every Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing home in the country, which includes more than 17,000. The five-star rating was bestowed upon Birch Patrick following a weeklong survey that took place in July 2012 and evaluated a variety of aspects of care, such as health inspections, staffing and quality.
