Sharp Coronado's Outpatient Programs and Services

Sharp Coronado offers the following outpatient services:
  • Imaging and X-Ray
    An appointment and a physician’s order are required for all CT scan, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and mammography studies. General diagnostic exams are performed on a walk-in basis with a physician order. All patients must register with the lobby receptionist before proceeding to the imaging department. For an appointment, please call 619-522-3721. Imaging services are available Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm.

  • Laboratory
    The laboratory department at Sharp Coronado Hospital is open daily. No appointment is necessary, but a physician’s order is required. All patients go directly to the laboratory department for registration and testing. Please note that fasting is required for lipid panel and rheumatoid factor, and is recommended for the comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) and the basic metabolic panel (BMP). Lab results for complete blood count (CBC) and chemistry test panels are faxed, called or delivered to the referring physician’s office within 24 hours. For information, please call 619-522-3718. Lab services are available Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, from 7 am to 3 pm.

  • Sharp Coronado Community Pharmacy
    Our outpatient pharmacy is located in the medical building adjacent to the hospital. The friendly staff provides prescription service, free local delivery, diabetic supplies, home medical equipment sales and rentals, patient counseling and drug information.

          The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6:30 pm.
