Diabetes Tip: Dining Out Reminders

Healthy eating shouldn’t stop when you leave your kitchen. When dining out, remember to do the following:

  • Avoid fatty meats and fried foods
  • Look for “heart-healthy” or “light” menu selections
  • Stick with foods that are grilled, broiled or baked
  • Think about sharing your meal with someone to avoid overeating
