Diabetes Tip: High Blood Glucose

High blood glucose can lead to diabetic ketoacidosis or DKA, especially in people with type I diabetes. In order to keep your blood glucose levels in check, it’s important to know when your levels are on the rise.

High blood glucose symptoms include:

  • Blurry vision
  • Drowsiness
  • Dry skin or mouth
  • Extreme thirst
  • Frequent need to urinate
  • Hunger
  • Slow-healing wounds or infections
