Keep your blood glucose levels in control this Halloween with the following tips:

Avoid eating candy every day up to Halloween.

Make sure to have a healthy, balanced dinner the night of Halloween to help you be less tempted to indulge in lots of sweets.

Only buy candy that you don’t like. This will keep you from being tempted to eat it all yourself.

At the end of Halloween night, put all your leftover candy in a bowl and leave it on your front porch for those late night trick-or-treaters.

Make sure you know many carbohydrates are in your candy and know how many carbohydrates you are allotted for a meal or snack.

Some extra physical activity on Halloween and the day following will help your body process the extra glucose and keep your blood glucose numbers in normal ranges.
