Diabetes Wound Healing Services
 People with diabetes and vascular disease may have difficult-to-heal wounds that have not responded to other types of therapy. Sharp HealthCare provides tailored treatment plans for patients that combines the highest standards in health care with state-of-the-art technology at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Sharp Coronado Hospital and Sharp Memorial Hospital. 

Some of the therapies used, include:

  • Compression stockings
  • Lymphedema pumps
  • Multilayer wraps 

Patients can be seen for a one-time consultation, or if indicated, for ongoing care until wound healing occurs. Patients and their families or caregivers are instructed in the day-to-day care of the wound. Home health services are available as needed if patients are homebound.
