Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s Breast Health Navigator Program provides personalized information and guidance for breast cancer patients and their families.

The breast health navigator:

  • Connects patients with available community resources, services and support
  • Guides patients and their families through the complexities of the health care system
  • Helps patients understand their treatment options
  • Identifies financial assistance that matches health care needs
  • Provides patients with compassionate, ongoing support from diagnosis through treatment

Heading the program is a certified breast health navigator who has received specialized breast health training and certification from the MD Anderson Hospital in Houston and certification through EduCare for Breast Health Navigation. With more than 20 years in the field of breast health, our certified breast health navigator has experience working with women of all ages from early detection through diagnosis.
