Sharp Grossmont Hospital's dual recovery outpatient program is designed for adults who have a psychiatric illness and a substance-use disorder. These individuals encounter unique problems brought on by the reciprocal effects of co-occurring diagnoses. Our program uses an integrated approach to help clients develop the functional skills they need to cope with their problems. We apply a cognitive educational method that integrates psychosocial rehabilitation techniques into a recovery-oriented model.

Program features include:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Inpatient-to-outpatient transition
  • Integrated treatment dealing with both disorders simultaneously
  • Intensive case management
