Sharp hospital employees learn the skills to handle an agitated patient when a situation escalates into a code green, including practice with restraint application, using techniques that promote safety and good body mechanics.

Recommended for Sharp Grossmont Hospital float pool RNs and any other Sharp employee (upon management approval) who might encounter a code green.

This course is led by Teresa Winkler, LMFT, RMT and Maria Parra, RN.


This course is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider No. 70) for 4.0 CEUs for Code Green Response. To receive CEU credit, employee should bring RN license number to the course.

Parking Information

Parking is available in the visitor parking structure (No. 2). Parking is free for visits under an hour. For one to four-hour visits, the rate is $3. Fees beyond 4 hours are an additional $2 every 15 minutes with a maximum of $20 a day. A multiday parking pass is available from the parking attendant for $15.
