Presented by Sharp HealthCare

In addition to technical expertise, phlebotomists must possess critical thinking skills to respond appropriately and ethically to situations that can occur during interactions with fellow health care workers and patients.

This three-hour program will focus on communication, ethical behaviors and patient privacy information as regulated by HIPAA. The presenters will also discuss avoidance of blood-borne pathogen transmission and malpractice risks related to phlebotomy.

This seminar is for laboratory assistants, phlebotomists, medical laboratory technicians and clinical laboratory scientists who can benefit from this educational session.

Breakfast will be available beginning at 8 am. Please make sure you arrive in plenty of time to check in no later than 8:10 am.
