Basic Spanish language class that will help Sharp Chula Vista employees communicate in the workplace.

This class is offered to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center and Sharp Staff Resource Network (SRN) employees only. It will teach them basic Spanish language skills that they can utilize in the workplace. The instructors will focus on pronunciation, spelling, nouns and verbs that may be needed to have a basic conversation with patients and visitors.

This class is a part of a research study at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. All attendees will be asked to complete a short survey at the beginning of the class and again three to six months later to ensure that the class was beneficial to their everyday work. The surveys will be completely anonymous.
Please note: You must attend both days of the class to receive books and other reference materials.
This class will be taught by members of the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center staff or leadership team, who are native speakers or are fluent in Spanish.
This course is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider No. 70) for 6.0 contact hours. You must attend both days and bring your RN license number to the class to receive credit.
Parking is available in the structure located near the main hospital entrance or the large lot located behind the main hospital, which can be accessed by turning into the driveway for the 765 medical office building. Paid valet parking valet is offered to patients, family and friends, 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
