Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Seminar
Do you leak urine with coughing, sneezing, laughing or heavy lifting? Do you ever wear pads or liners for leaking? Does your urge increase as you near the bathroom? Do you sometime leak before you reach the bathroom? Do you worry about not having access to a bathroom? Do you push or strain when using the bathroom? Do you have tailbone pain or genital pain? Do you have pain with intercourse?
All of these questions and more will be addressed in this ongoing series of two educational talks. Our goal is to help you enjoy life by naturally taking control of your incontinence and pelvic or genital pain.
Candice Claudio PT, COMT, from Sharp Rees-Stealy Otay Ranch Physical Therapy, will teach participants how to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles from a basic Kegel exercise and beyond using tools for progression, bladder retraining through use of a voiding diary and suppression techniques, and managing pelvic or genital pain.
