Presented by Sharp Coronado Hospital

During Liver Awareness Month this October, Sharp Coronado Hospital invites you to attend a free seminar with Dr. Tarek Hassanein, a world-renowned hepatologist and gastroenterologist affiliated with Sharp Coronado Hospital.

The discussion will include:

  • The importance of your liver and disease prevention
  • Treatment options for each stage of liver disease, including inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver failure
  • An overview of how the Liver Center at Sharp Coronado combines advanced technology, integrative therapies and healthy lifestyle practices to help improve liver health
  • A question-and-answer session with the doctor

Sharp Coronado is the only hospital in San Diego County and one of only a few in California to offer liver dialysis treatment through the molecular adsorbent recirculating system (MARS). This FDA-approved technology helps patients with liver failure stabilize their condition prior to transplant and promote healing.
