SafeTALK Training Class: Suicide Alertness for Everyone
SafeTALK is a three-hour program that prepares anyone over the age of 15 to become a suicide-alert helper. By attending this program, you will learn to:
- Identify people who may have suicidal thoughts
- Ask them directly about the possibility of suicide
- Connect them to lifesaving resources
Instructors will utilize interactive video, role playing, group interactions and answer questions throughout the class. Previous experience or training is not required prior to enrolling and you will receive a certification of completion at the end of the morning.
This course is designed by Living Works Education and is sponsored by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
