Hosted by the County of San Diego’s Aging & Independence Services, Vital Aging 2017 will focus on success stories and motivation to improve your health now.
You'll hear the latest information on brain health, caregiver health, nutrition and physical activity. The event also features success stories from older adults and interactive speakers who will inspire you to make healthy lifestyle changes.
The day includes a keynote program highlighted by nationally acclaimed speaker Ben Vereen. Vereen is a well-known actor and performer, who has committed himself over the last 10 years to speaking about health, wellness and managing his own Type 2 diabetes.
Please note, the keynote program/speaker will be at the Liberty Station venue and the presentation will be webcast live to the other three event locations.

Main Event Location
McMillin Center, Liberty Station (Point Loma)
The program includes the live in-person keynote speech, as well as workshops concerning brain health, caregiver health, nutrition and physical activity. The keynote speech will be held inside the McMillin Center, while the other event activities will be held outside at Luce Court and Legacy Plaza. Lunch will be provided.
Regional Event Locations
North – California Center for the Arts (Escondido)
South – Cornerstone Church (National City)
East – Faith Chapel (Spring Valley)
These are simultaneous Vital Aging conferences at three regional locations. There will be a live webcast of the keynote speech on a large screen inside the venue. In addition, there will be in-person speakers and information tables addressing brain health, caregiver health, nutrition and physical activity. Lunch will be provided.

Registration will run from 8 to 8:30 am. Directions and additional event information will be emailed to you by the County of San Diego one week before the event.
