Heart and Vascular Classes and Support Groups

Sharp offers heart health classes and support groups in locations across San Diego.

Heart Classes
Below are just a few of the heart classes offered at Sharp. For a complete list of classes, visit Classes & Events and select "Heart, Lung and Vascular" from the drop-down menu.

  • Healthy Hearts — two-session class focusing on maintaining a healthy diet
  • Living with Heart Failure — one-session class focusing on ways to better manage heart disease at home
  • Smoking Cessation — six-week program with one year of support to help you successfully stop smoking
  • Stress Management — one-session class focusing on recognizing the sources of your stress and how to minimize its effects
  • Weight Management — a variety of programs to meet your needs

To register for any of these classes, visit Classes & Events or call 1-800-82-SHARP (1-800-827-4277), Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm.

Support Groups
Support groups are an important component of the Heart and Vascular program at Sharp. These groups are designed for patients and family members, and are run by a social worker or registered nurse. At each support group, an expert discusses topics identified by the group. Additionally, there is time at the end of each meeting for questions and informal networking.
