Home Care Team

Our team consists of nurses, therapists, social workers and health aides.

Choosing Sharp Home Care means choosing a team of highly qualified professionals who provide for your unique needs in the comfort of your home. Our home health liaisons are available to meet with you and your physician to evaluate your situation and determine the best plan of care.

All Sharp skilled professionals are registered, licensed or certified in their specific fields:

  • Home Health Aides
    Personal care — such as bathing, hygiene and dressing — are cared for by home health aides under licensed staff supervision.

  • Medical Social Workers
    Social and emotional needs, financial and legal services, durable power of attorney, adult or child protective services, Medi-Cal or In Home Support Services (IHSS) are all managed by medical social workers.

  • Nurses (RNs and LVNs)

  • Occupational Therapists
    Activities of daily living — including feeding, bathing and dressing — are cared for by occupational therapists. Upper extremity dexterity, strengthening, range of motion and coordination exercises, as well as evaluation for adaptive equipment and splints are also dealt with.

  • Physical Therapists
    Physical therapists handle issues of mobility, transfers, strengthening, balance and edema control. Therapeutic exercises, instruction with equipment and home safety are also managed.

  • Specialty Consultants
    Arranged as needed.

  • Speech Therapists
    Speech, language, voice and swallowing needs are met by speech therapists. Occasionally, cognitive disorders are also addressed.
