Judith's International Patient Transfer Story

Judith Fulginiti and her husband were Americans living in Rosarito, Mexico when Mr. Fulginiti had a medical emergency. Judith’s husband was transferred to a Sharp hospital after being in critical condition at a hospital in Mexico. Judith's Story
When my husband was in critical condition in the hospital in Rosarito, and it was clear that he needed to be rushed across the border to an American hospital, medical personnel contacted Sharp HealthCare’s International Patient liaison.

The liaison took care of all the arrangements from having an ambulance waiting for us at the border to making sure the hospital knew we were coming. They got my husband right into the emergency room where he was treated with the expertise and kindness that was so needed and reassuring in this time of crisis.  We had no idea this service even existed until we found ourselves having to deal with a medical emergency and wondering how in the world we would get to U.S. hospital.
