Nursing Rotation and Unit-Based Tracks

From emergency department to highly specialized areas like psychiatric-mental health nursing, we are proud to provide new graduate nurses with a wide range of career opportunities within the medical field where their interests may lie. Sharp offers different options or tracks for new nurses.

Residency Rotation Track
The rotation track is designed for new graduate nurses who are interested in building a variety of skills by working with several different units throughout the one-year program. This nursing program or track encompasses many different things and you will have multiple touch points on a variety of different patients, scenarios, and situations.

Unit-Based Track
In the unit-based track, which is designed for new graduate nurses who are interested in a specific area of care, nurses will complete the program within their unit of hire. This nursing program or track is more focused on a dedicated area of practice vs. the broad strokes painted in the Residency Rotation Track.
