Sharp Lends a Hand

Over a short two-week period, thousands of San Diegans came to Sharp.com to learn more about Sharp Lends a Hand, our initiative to use our people power — 14,000 strong — to make a difference in San Diego. And more importantly, 78 San Diegans took the time to share their idea for how we can create real change. From visiting home-bound seniors to assembling care packages for injured members of the military, amazing ideas flowed in to our inbox. Thank you for your passion.
What's happening now?
We are combing through the submissions and selecting projects that meet our criteria of supporting the health and wellbeing of San Diego in a broad, positive way. In the next few days, all of Sharp's 14,000 employees will have the opportunity to vote for the community service project or projects we’ll tackle this year.

Sharp employees will be working on the projects selected between May 1 and September 30, 2008. Come back often to read about our progress. We will post which projects are selected, and then throughout the summer share pictures, stories and progress on the projects.
