Sharp Memorial’s Weight-Loss Surgery Program is under the medical direction of George Mueller, MD. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mueller served as chief of surgery at Sharp Memorial Hospital, and brings unparalleled skill and experience into the operating room. He has performed thousands of laparoscopic procedures and takes pride in an extremely low complication rate — well below the national average of 13 to 14 percent — and a short patient stay within the hospital.

Our weight-loss surgery program incorporates a team approach, comprised of health professionals who understand the special needs of morbidly obese patients.
