San Diego Eating Disorder Treatment

Specialized treatment program for adults with eating disorders.

Overwhelming life changes can cause some people to develop eating disorders as a way to cope with events or psychological needs in their lives. Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital’s Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Treatment Program is designed to teach adult patients with anorexia, bulimia or binge eating disorder  to cope with life’s demands and stresses in a healthy way.

The program is designed to treat the complex and long-term issues associated with eating disorders. Treatment goals include:  

  • Decreasing body image distortion
  • Developing healthy coping techniques
  • Eliminating, bingeing or purging behaviors
  • Increasing body acceptance
  • Treating physical complications

Multidisciplinary Health Team
team of specialists in psychiatry, internal medicine, psychology, nursing, recreation therapy and nutrition provide education and support to patients and their families.

Treatment Programs
Sharp Mesa Vista offers Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs for patients who struggle with anorexia, bulimia and binge eating.
