About Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital

Sharp Mesa Vista, part of the Sharp Metropolitan Medical Campus, is the most comprehensive mental health hospital in San Diego. With 149 beds, the hospital offers programs for seniors, adults, adolescents and children.

Treatment Philosophy
The staff is committed to providing dignified care and treatment to individuals who struggle with mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Our core treatment philosophy is to restore the patient to optimal functioning in the shortest amount of time and in the most comfortable environment possible.

We have a staff of more than 40 psychiatrists and 150 health professionals. We understand that it is common for people with mental illness to experience stigma and barriers to social integration. We are committed to eliminating stigma and to promoting the fullest recovery for each individual.
