Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

Sharp Mesa Vista offers both child and adolescent partial hospitalization programs in which patients continue to reside at home but visit the hospital regularly for treatment.

Child Partial Hospitalization Program
A highly structured and therapeutic environment for children ages 6 to 12 who are experiencing significant behavioral and emotional problems. Children will learn self-esteem and relationship building as well as techniques for improving and maintaining better behavior. Daily cognitive and behavioral goals are integrated into home and family life to maximize long-term progress.

In addition, the program features family involvement, including group and individual family therapy sessions. This participation gives the family tools to help the child improve self-control and express feelings in a healthy way in order to have successful relationships.

Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program
This program provides cognitive behavioral treatment for adolescents who are experiencing difficulties coping with the stresses of home, school and community.

Sharp Mesa Vista’s experienced treatment team works in partnership with parents, outside therapists, schools and others for positive and healthy outcomes. The program focuses on assertive communication, frustration tolerance, impulse control and anger management.

For those struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring emotional difficulties, Sharp Mesa Vista offers a dual-track program.
