Sharp Mesa Vista Bipolar Disorder Clinical Trials

Have you been diagnosed with bipolar disorder? Are you suffering from symptoms such as racing thoughts, a lack of focus, high energy or irritability? You may be eligible to participate in a research study at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. Participants must be:

  • Over age 18
  • Diagnosed with bipolar disorder

Current Studies

  • Bipolar Disorder With a Depressive Episode
    This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of once-a-day, TAK-375 (Ramelteon) tablet for sublingual administration (TAK-375SL tablet) as an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute depressive episodes associated with bipolar 1 disorder. Participants will attend 10 clinic visits over 8 weeks. Many participants continue with their current medication for bipolar disorder throughout the study. This study is appropriate for individuals age 18 to 75 who have been diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder and have experienced a recent depressive episode. Learn more about this study.
  • Bipolar Disorder
    This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 study will evaluate the efficacy and safety for once-a-day, TAK-375 (Ramelteon) tablet for sublingual administration (TAK-375SL tablet) as an adjunctive therapy to treatment-as-usual in the maintenance treatment of bipolar 1 disorder. Participants will attend 16 clinic visits over 52 weeks. Many participants can continue with their current medication for bipolar disorder throughout the study. This study is appropriate for individuals ages 18 to 75 who have been diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder and have a reliable, competent trial partner or caregiver who has a close relationship with the participant.
