The Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital are offered to patients who struggle with anorexia or bulimia. The program uses a research-based treatment approach and provides education to help patients understand eating disorders.
The Partial Hospitalization Program provides full-day therapeutic and educational programming designed to treat the complex and long-term issues associated with eating disorders. The Intensive Outpatient Program is a transition program, providing treatment for less than a full day.
The program allows patients to further strengthen the gains they've made while in the Partial Hospitalization Program. Treatment goals include:
- Decreasing body image distortion and increasing body acceptance
- Eliminating binging or purging behaviors
- Increasing healthy coping techniques
- Treating physical complications
