Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs

The Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital are offered to patients who struggle with anorexia or bulimia. The program uses a research-based treatment approach and provides education to help patients understand eating disorders.

The Partial Hospitalization Program provides full-day therapeutic and educational programming designed to treat the complex and long-term issues associated with eating disorders. The Intensive Outpatient Program is a transition program, providing treatment for less than a full day.

The program allows patients to further strengthen the gains they've made while in the Partial Hospitalization Program. Treatment goals include:

  • Decreasing body image distortion and increasing body acceptance
  • Eliminating binging or purging behaviors
  • Increasing healthy coping techniques
  • Treating physical complications
