Chemical Dependency Services at Sharp Mesa Vista

A variety of programs for people addicted to drugs and/or alcohol.

Sharp Mesa Vista's Chemical Dependency Recovery Program is designed to treat individuals recovering from alcoholism or chemical dependency. The program involves a combination of psychosocial evaluation, individualized treatment plans, educational groups, development of support systems, family education and aftercare.

Sharp Mesa Vista offers the following inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization chemical dependency services for adults:

• Aftercare 
  Focused care to help newly recovering patients, after being discharged from either the inpatient or partial hospitalization programs, make a successful transition back to home, work and community.
  
  
• Detoxification
  Inpatient support for a medically safe withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs.
  
  
• Dual Recovery Program
  Specialized care for people with a chemical dependency and a psychiatric disorder. Sharp Mesa Vista offers two dual recovery programs: Dual Recovery Partial Hospital Program and a Dual Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program.
  
  
• Family Education
  Motivating lectures and support groups for recovering people and their loved ones.
  
  
• Opiate Dependence
  An intensive Opiate Dependence Outpatient Program for adults who are 18 years old and older. The program combines psychosocial counseling and the use of Suboxone, a groundbreaking medication to suppress withdrawal symptoms and decrease cravings.
  
  
• Rehabilitation
  Structured care that allows patients to actively participate in individual and group therapy, relapse prevention workshops, education sessions, 12-step meetings and family counseling.
  
  
• Residential Care
  Sharp Vista Pacifica is the only medically supervised chemical dependency recovery hospital in San Diego County that provides state-of-the-art treatment for adults and their families.
