Carolyn's Stroke Patient Story

Thanks to quick stroke treatment, Carolyn is back to bowling. 
When Carolyn’s husband heard her complain of a sharp pain, he knew something wasn’t right. He immediately took her to Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s Emergency Department. Carolyn suffered a stroke and was treated at the hospital’s nationally recognized stroke unit. After Carolyn’s recovery, she began physical therapy where she learned how to walk again. “I love all the nurses and doctors who took care of me,” said Carolyn. “They explained my condition to me and my family very thoroughly.”

Today, Carolyn is back to being a minister at her church, which she said played a big role in her recovery and in her life. In addition, she is also back to bowling, her favorite sport.
