Health Tip: Help Prevent Eye Problems
(HealthDay News) -- Your vision may weaken as you get older, but the Cleveland Clinic says there are things you can do to maintain the health of your eyes:
Schedule regular visits with your doctor to screen for conditions that can affect your vision, such as diabetes.
Visit your ophthalmologist once every year. The exam should include pupil dilation if your family has a history of diabetes or eye disease.
Have regular glaucoma screenings.
See an eye doctor right away if you have any trouble with your eyes or vision.
