Health Tip: Selecting a Childcare Provider
(HealthDay News) -- If you're a new mom who is planning to return to work soon, you may need to find a reputable childcare provider.
The womenshealth.gov website suggests how to evaluate any childcare center:
Visit many different facilities and spend considerable time at each one, to get a good feel for the environment and quality of care.
Watch and listen for busy, active and happy children.
Count how many staff members are assigned to each child, and make sure that ratio complies with state guidelines.
Research the staff's experience and individual backgrounds.
