Health Tip: Eat Less
(HealthDay News) -- Your parents may have appreciated when you took a lot of food and left a clean plate, but experts say that's no way to maintain a healthy weight.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers these suggestions to help prevent overeating:
Use small plates and glasses.
Take small bites and chew your food slowly, taking time to savor it.
Don't indulge in more than one helping.
Before you dig into your main course, fill yourself up with a green, leafy salad or some vegetable soup.
