(HealthDay News) -- Regular checkups can help keep diabetes in check and prevent complications.
The U.S. National Diabetes Education Program recommends the following regular tests and screenings:
Blood pressure.
Foot inspection.
Weight.
A review of your self-care plan.
An A1C test at least twice annually.
Annual evaluations of your eyes and teeth, cholesterol, blood and urine.
Annual flu vaccination.
