Health Tip: Slumping Iron?

(HealthDay News) -- If your blood doesn't have enough healthy oxygen-carrying red blood cells, it may be because you aren't getting enough iron in your diet.

The U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute says common symptoms of iron-deficiency anemia include:

  • Tiredness.

  • Shortness of breath.

  • Headaches or dizziness.

  • Cold hands and feet.

  • Unusually pale skin.

  • Chest pain.
