Press Ganey Recognizes Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns

Press Ganey Associates, Inc., recently honored Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns for achieving some of the best patient and physician satisfaction scores in the nation. Press Ganey is a nationally recognized company that partners with health care organizations to measure the level of customer satisfaction and improve their quality of health care delivery.

Sharp Memorial received the Press Ganey Top Improver Award for 2010 for demonstrating continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores over the past two years. Since opening its new hospital in January 2009, Sharp Memorial's patient satisfaction scores are regularly in the 99th percentile — ranking the hospital among the best in the nation.

For the second year in a row, Sharp Mary Birch received the Best Place to Practice Award for reaching and sustaining physician satisfaction scores in the 95th percentile and above for its two most recent physician surveys. This award was presented to only four hospitals in the nation.

Half of all U.S. inpatient hospitals currently partner with Press Ganey. The company's databases are the largest in the industry and allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations.
