Sharp HealthCare Not Connected to Reported Meningitis Outbreak

News media are following reports of an outbreak of a rare form of fungal meningitis, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has linked to patients’ receipt of epidural steroid injections. All reported cases have been traced to lots of the steroid methylprednisolone, used for lower back pain, produced and distributed by New England Compounding Company (NECC).

Sharp HealthCare does not do business with this company.
