"I went to BJ's for pizza in La Jolla. The gluten-free pizza is the best I've had in the San Diego area and they are cautious about cross-contamination. I highly recommend it! They also serve Redbridge beer. I was disappointed in the appetizer menu, though. They listed a lot of appetizers as being gluten-free, but note at the bottom that they are cooked in shared fryers." — Elaine T.

"We celebrated our anniversary on the dinner cruise on the Hornblower Inspiration with a gluten free request to the reservation person and my husband had a great meal without croutons and substitution of [gluten free] dessert for $6 extra. We received a dinner tab noted with gluten free on top with our boarding pass. Great service and entertainment with dancing and fireworks for a reasonable price and they have special discounts on their website, operating out of several cities in California, besides San Diego."— Christina M.

"I want to recommend Harar on El Cajon Blvd. It is an Ethiopian restaurant with very good food. There is no gluten in any of their food, except the injira and sambusas. On Wednesday and Fridays, you can call ahead in the morning and make a reservation for dinner with pure teff injira for a small extra fee. On other days, you can bring in  your own gluten-free bread and order food served without injira. I've been there a few times now with no issues." — Elaine T.
