Sharp's Nutrition Education and Counseling Outpatient Program provides one-on-one nutrition counseling to support you in making positive behavioral changes for a healthier lifestyle.

Our Program
The Nutrition Education and Counseling Program includes:

  • An assessment of your individual health needs
  • A professional evaluation of your eating and lifestyle habits
  • Development of a personalized nutrition and exercise plan tailored to your lifestyle, which includes meal planning guidance
  • Strategies for nutrition and behavior modification for you and your family, which includes education on recipe modification, label reading, grocery shopping, dining out and more
  • Visits to follow up and assist with the continuation of lifelong healthful eating and exercise habits

    -Outpatient sessions with a dietitian
    -Comprehensive eating disorder treatment program at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital

Request a Referral

You may request a referral for outpatient nutrition counseling from your physician. Print our Physician Referral Form and take it to your physician's office. Once your physician has completed the form, they can fax it to our office and we will contact you to set up an appointment. Nutrition counseling services are offered at Sharp's four acute-care hospitals in San Diego.
