Research Office
Sharp HealthCare’s Research Office is responsible for advancing research within Sharp’s hospitals and medical groups. Research conducted at Sharp adds to scientific knowledge and provides a valuable service to our community. Sharp HealthCare partners with leading pharmaceutical companies and government agencies to conduct clinical trials in many areas of medicine including, but not limited to, anesthesiology, behavioral health, cardiac transplant and cardiology, dermatology, gene therapy, infectious disease, oncology, orthopedics (also spelled orthopaedics), pulmonology, renal transplant and women’s and infants’ health.
Sharp’s active Evidence Based Nursing Research Program promotes the development of nursing research and evidence-based practice throughout the health care system. Additionally, staff and students are tasked with developing research programs on critical social science issues, quality improvement projects and outcomes measures.
