Frequently Asked Questions About Pediatric Rehab

Where do I start if I have concerns with my child?
It is important to start with your pediatrician. Discuss your concerns and observations. Your physician may recommend an OT, PT, ST evaluation.

My child’s teacher has concerns regarding age-appropriate classroom skills. What can I do?
You may attend one of our free screenings. Your child will be evaluated for occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech pathology. Based on the outcome of this screening we may recommend a further evaluation, treatment or home instruction.

Do I need to bring any information to my child’s first appointment?
Please bring with you any relevant documentation: previous development evaluations, physician recommendations and school reports.

Will I need to schedule more appointments?
Based on the results of this evaluation, your therapist will discuss outcomes and recommendations for additional services.

Will I be participating in my child’s treatment process?
Yes. Home activities and exercises are essential part of the treatment process.
