Stroke Support Group — Young Enthusiastic Stroke Survivors

YESS meetings are sponsored by Sharp's Rehabilitation Services.

Young Enthusiastic Stroke Survivors (YESS) is a free support group for survivors and their families. A recognized member of the American Heart Association, YESS sponsors meetings and newsletters that focus on educating the community about stroke and highlight the effects of stroke on people of all ages and their families. Educational topics include coping skills, adjustment, family and intimacy, work and school re-entry and support sharing. YESS also sponsors social activities like adaptive sports, day trips, barbecues, special events and community projects. YESS is not limited to stroke survivors — it also supports family members, professionals, educators and adults with head injuries.

YESS meets once a month (day and time varies) at the Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center. For details, call Bernadette Parin at 858-939-6762.
