Biography

Being able to be a part of one of the most important experiences of a woman's life of bringing life into the world is humbling, fulfilling and gratifying. It never gets old for me, not even at 2 a.m.!

Ever since I was young, I wanted to be not just a doctor, but an obstetrician. I practice a philosophy of mindfulness. I actively remind myself that a patient is seeking care because she is sick or worried or in pain and she is looking to me for answers and for help.

I treat each patient as I would wish my mother, sister or daughter to be treated - with loving kindness, dignity and respect. I go the extra mile, and above all, do the right thing, such as minimizing episiotomies and C-sections, and work for the best outcome for mom and baby.

Free 3D/4D ultrasounds are provided to help mom with the bonding experience prenatally.

Outside of work, I love reading, gardening, hiking and nature and spending time with my wonderful husband, Bob, and my adorable little dogs.
