My father was a single family doctor in a small West Virginia town so I saw firsthand how much a dedicated and caring doctor can impact the lives of people and the community. I chose to follow in my father's footsteps because I felt that nothing was more gratifying than making a positive impact on the lives of others. Few of us remember old-fashioned family doctors who had the time to spend listening or even coming to our homes. But with the improved efficiency of a state-of-the-art paperless office and the limited size direct practice model, I am able to dedicate the time and attention that I feel my patients deserve.
Board-certified doctors today are knowledgeable enough to provide modern western medical care. Although most would agree that evidence-based western medicine has its limitations, few doctors are open to more traditional therapies. I believe there is a place for integrating alternative and complementary therapies in your care. Whenever possible, I recommend more natural therapies first and reserve drugs for last.
Health is dynamic, continually influenced by the way we live our lives and by the way we interact with the world around us. I believe that true wellness goes far beyond being free of disease. It starts from within and continues with daily sound healthy habits. As a physician, I strive to be a companion, an advisor and a cheerleader to my patients during their journey to true wellness.
As a diplomat of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, I am well versed in the modern evidence-based approaches available to optimize performance and longevity. State-of-the-art micronutrient testing identifies intracellular deficiencies and enables rational treatment with supplements and dietary modifications. By safely restoring optimal hormone levels we are able to improve and even reverse many of the signs of aging. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and volunteering at Integrative Health Institute, a not-for-profit corporation that I co-founded. I also love to dance Argentine Tango, cook, travel, snowboard and mountain bike.
